CM8480 series is a single IO type, fully static, OTP based CMOS 8-bit microprocessor. It uses RISC architecture and most of the instruction execution is a Instruction cycle. Only a few indirect addressing instructions require two Instruction cycle.

       CM8480 has a built-in 1.25KW OTP data memory and a 64 byte data memory, as well as a hardware comparator used to compare signals or internal reference voltage Vinternal-R or internal bandgap reference voltage Bandgap between two pins. CM8480 also provides three hardware timers: a 16 bit timer, an 8 bit timer (capable of PWM mode output), and a set of 3 connected sets of 11 bit PWM timers/generators (LPWMG0, LPWMG1, and LPWMG2).
